Audrey said I can not type everything in capital letters because that means I am yelling at everyone, but she is the one always yelling.
Wednesday- Started out at Mt. Rushmore, what a sight. It is unbelievable well worth the trip. Rich stated that this should be the 8th wonder of the world. Headed up the mountains, traveled thru tunnels in the mountains, large rock formations. This country we live in is great, so much to see. Saw Buffalo, Elk, deer then went to see Crazy Horse, another great sight. Ate dinner at the Alpine Inn in Hill City, saw a wild west show then headed back to see the light show at Crazy Horse another awsome sight.
Thursday- Left the Lazy J campground, which was nice especially Renelle who guided us to our various locations. The trip was going good, 520 miles, but t6hen we hit the mountains outside of Buffalo, Wy. Snow on top of the mountains, then the step downhill, naturally Rich was driving. When we hit bad weather Rich is always driving. Near Dubois, Wy the wind picked up and we had to slow down, it felt like someone was constantly shaking the RV. When we were 52 miles away it was decided to continue over the mountain, what a mistake, snow everywhere, it got dark and started to snow. Took us a while to get down the mountain and when we wetre a 1/4 mile from the campgound we had a flat tire, left frontg-Rich was driving. It was 11:30 at night, called AAA, but we were in the middle of nowhere and no help till morning. We had to stay overnight on the side of the Highway.
Friday- First we were told there was no tire available in the area and we would have to travel 100 miles to pick up a tire. Finally we were saved by the service man, Todd who found a tire, we will still be delayed for several hours.
